Phang Nga Bay And James Bond Island Day tour from Khao Lak

Explore the unique and picturesque Phang Nga Bay, learn about ancient cultures and witness stunning landscapes.

See unique caves surrounded by beautiful limestone cliffs and embark on a journey through the mangroves on a traditional Thai longtail boat. As you navigate through the labyrinth-like paths, you will witness the rare flora and fauna that call the mangroves home.

You will also see the James Bond Island and its famous limestone formations.

 Afterwards, you will embark on a canoe tour, passing by centuries-old rock formations and through caves, to fully appreciate the natural beauty of the region. 

You will also visit a stilt-built fisherman village where you will be greeted with a delicious lunch. After lunch, you will have time to explore the village and its inhabitants.

To conclude the day, you will visit a local temple where you might see some wild monkeys.

We begin our adventure on the water by taking a scenic ride on a traditional Thai longtail boat. We'll navigate through the lush mangrove jungle, home to a diverse array of wildlife such as lizards, snakes, monkeys and various bird species.

As we pass through an intriguing karst landscape, we will arrive at the renowned James Bond Island, where we will have an excellent view of the most well-known limestone formation in the area. Ko Tapu, also known as the James Bond Island, is a popular tourist destination due to its appearance in the movie "The Man with the Golden Gun" featuring Roger Moore as the British secret agent 007.

After a brief stop, we will proceed to a canoe station where you can relax and take in the natural beauty while a skilled paddle guide escorts you. The guide will take you near ancient rock formations, caves and mangroves.

We will make our way to a fishing village built on stilts in the water. The sea-faring nomads residing here will give you a warm welcome and offer you a delicious Thai meal. Once you're full and satisfied, you can take a leisurely stroll to explore the village, called Koh Panyee,  and learn about the culture of its inhabitants. You may even find some nice souvenirs to bring back for yourself, your family, or your friends.

We will return to the mainland to head back to Khao Lak but to conclude a wonderful day of culture we will visit a temple and caves. There is also a chance to spot wild monkeys in the area, but be aware that they are known to steal food from tourists.
